Aaron and James have been home brewing since 2000, resulting in amazing years of good beer. They have been brewing in the city of Dallas as a hobby, with support of their family and friends, they were strongly encouraged to enter some of the local home brewing competitions. Humbled and surprised to have received several awards in the past 6 years. 


 During their years of competing, they were encouraged to look into opening a commercial brewery.  After years of research and planning, Soul Fire Brewing Co. in Roanoke, TX is now a reality. The team consists of two beer enthusiasts and connoisseurs—Aaron Bennett and James Brown. Soul Fire Brewing Co. and Taproom will begin with brewing several mainstay beers, with a variety of seasonal and limited-release beers. This innovative vision and burning desire for new and fresh ideas will provide an ever-evolving selection of one-off beers.

Each element of the Soul Fire Logo was thoughtfully designed to evoke the distinct passion and personality upon which the brand was built. The double “B” monogram does just that,representing the hard work and partnership shared by co-founders Bennett and Brown as they embark on their mission to serve bold and superior beer that fuels the fire of the community.

The Roanoke Roundup is a free family event where chefs from all around compete for big cash and even bigger bragging rights. This is a family-fun filled day of food, vendors, live music, kid’s activities, classic car show and more in The Unique Dining Capital of Texas! All proceeds from the Roanoke Roundup will benefit the Guns and Hoses Foundation of North Texas and the Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas.

HEAD BARTENDER

Soul Fire Brewing Co is hiring a full-time experienced Head Bartender with at least 3 years of experience that are local, have dependable transportation, good references, a clean record and have a passion for craft beer. The Head Bartender will be responsible for recipe writing for the mixed drink menu. Also, must be outgoing, positive, honest and an organized team player with solid problem-solving and communication skills that provides a positive customer experience.

Operation and Inventory:

The Head Bartender is responsible for maintaining, supplying and running the operations for the bar:

▪ Collaborates with General Manager to manage the product inventory, oversee purchase and supply orders, check in recently purchased bar items and arrange inventory daily and for special events.

▪ Responsible for building and maintaining a relationship with vendors and distributors.

▪ Responsible for scheduling special occasions such as parties, banquets or sporting events.

▪ Ensures that all bar equipment is operational and functional.


PART-TIME BARTENDER

Part-Time Bartenders experience that are local, have dependable transportation, good references, a clean record and have a passion for craft beer. The Part-Time Bartender must be outgoing, positive, honest and an organized team player with solid problem-solving and communication skills that provides a positive customer experience.

Operation:

The Part-Time Bartender is responsible for maintaining, supplying and operating the bar:

▪ Collaborates with Head Bartender and General Manager to manage the product inventory, oversee purchase and supply orders, check in recently purchased bar items and arrange inventory daily and for special events.

▪ Ensures that the bar and all bar equipment is clean and operational.


Education, Experience and Work Environment:

For Head Bartenderor Part-Time Bartender candidates should have a positive history and solid skill set of the following:

▪ Properly handling money,

▪ Setting up the bar at the beginning of a shift and breaking it down at the end of a shift.

▪ Using computer and hospitality system software and hardware.

▪ Maintaining a clean work area and guest environment during the shift

▪ Make/pour adult beverages accurately, in the proper vessel, in a timely manner and with the appropriate garnish.

▪ Knowledge of all requirements for the responsible service of alcohol.

▪ Handling of problem customers and ability to recognize signs of intoxication.


Bartenders Requirements: 

To be eligible for Head Bartender or Part-Time Bartender position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

▪ Meets state & local age requirements for serving alcohol.

▪ Maintains current state/local required alcohol service certification.

▪ Must be able to lift heavy objects such as kegs and boxes containing alcohol bottles (40+ pounds)

▪ Must be able to balance and carry multiple beverage items.

▪ Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time.

WAITSTAFF

Part-time servers that are local, have dependable transportation, good references, a clean record, and have a passion for craft beer. The Waitstaff must be outgoing, positive, honest and an organized team player with solid serving and customer service skills.


Customer Service:

Waiter/Waitress should be able to successfully complete the following tasks:

▪ Greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill.

▪ Attentiveness and patience for customers.

▪ Active listening and effective communication skills.

▪ Excellently present menu and provide detailed information about the brands, the daily specials, make recommendations when requested and up-sell when appropriate.

▪ Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.

▪ Ability to input orders into POS system and properly handling credit cards and cash.

▪ Being a team player and able to effectively collaborate with the bartenders to ensure that orders are accurate and delivered promptly.

▪ Deliver checks and collect bill payments.

▪ Provide excellent customer service to guests.


Education, Experience and Work Environment:

Candidates should have a positive history and solid skill set of the following:

▪ Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress

▪ Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

▪ Basic math and money management skills.

▪ Maintaining a clean work area and guest environment during the shift.

▪ Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off the floor and wipe down booth seats in all areas of the taproom and outside patio.

▪ Knowledge of all requirements for the responsible service of alcohol.

▪ Handling of problem customers and ability to recognize signs of intoxication.

▪ Knowledge of and ability to follow all relevant health department regulations.


Waitstaff  Requirements:

To be eligible for Wait staff position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

▪ Meets state & local age requirements for serving alcohol.

▪ Maintains current state/local required alcohol service certification.

▪ Must be able to lift 25 pounds multiple times per shift.

▪ Must be able to balance and carry multiple beverage items.

▪ Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for long periods of time.

▪ Duties may require working in shifts and/or occasionally during weekends and holidays.
